Natural Mystic Shaders is a resource pack built around a realistic look. It reworks how light behaves across the world, adding proper shadows and changing the way torches, the sun and the moon illuminate everything around them.
Water gets a lot of attention in the Natural Mystic shader. Its surface moves with waves, and both its transparency and the reflected highlights change depending on the angle you look from, so a lake seen from the shore looks different from one you are staring straight down into. Tree leaves sway as well, while other plants stay still. Clouds lose their blocky shape and drift across the sky as soft forms, and the moon is drawn by the shader itself instead of using the standard texture.
Lighting has its own set of changes. Torches flicker, and sunlight and moonlight each have a distinct color. At night and during bad weather the colors lose some of their saturation, which makes rainy days feel noticeably gloomier. On top of that, exposure adjustment, a contrast filter and tone mapping keep bright and dark areas balanced, so the image holds together in any light.
