Description
The primary picture is just for demonstration purposes - it shows TWO (2) of the Aqueduct Segments that this schematic actually contains (second picture) successfully allowing a single source block of water to flow over 100 blocks away from it's location.
In history, ancient people used Aqueducts similar to these to pipe water from thawing mountain tops or natural springs into their cities. Water could also be piped down to any fields or settlements the aqueduct passed along the way. Interestingly, many of these Aqueducts had their main canals lined with copper which not only helped prevent the water from leaking out through the porous brick and concrete, but it also combined nicely with the UV radiation from the sun to provide the water with an antibacterial filtration system of sorts. This made ancient cities not only more viable, but safe.
