Shadow Armor Mod

Shadow Armor is a vanilla-style armor set addon designed to make exploring the Deep Dark biome safer and more manageable, though obtaining it requires braving the very dangers it protects against. The mod introduces Shadow Ore that generates exclusively in Deep Dark biomes and Ancient City structures, creating a risk-reward dynamic where you must first survive the biome's threats to gain the tools needed to conquer them. The addon maintains full compatibility with achievements and other addons, including support for Vibrant Visuals where the ore glows in darkness for easier detection.

The armor set provides unique defensive properties specifically tailored to Deep Dark survival. A full set grants complete immunity to the Darkness effect and total damage mitigation from the Warden's devastating sonic boom attack, though this protection comes at the cost of accelerated armor durability loss. Each armor piece has half the durability of Netherite armor, making the Unbreaking enchantment essential for extended use. The Shadow Blade complements the armor set with 9 attack damage, surpassing Netherite swords and providing the offensive power needed for Deep Dark encounters.
