Minimap Addon

Minimap Addon puts a live map in the corner of your screen, so you always know what is around you. It draws the terrain as you move, marks water and depth, and works the same whether you are digging through caves or flying over the surface.

What the Map Shows

The picture updates as you go and holds a fair amount of detail:

• Real-time terrain rendering across a 31x31 block area.


• Dynamic shadows that give the map a sense of depth.


• Water and depth detection for easier orientation.


• A color palette wide enough to show every block in the game, including ones added by other add-ons.

Among Bedrock mods for navigation, this one keeps its footprint unusually small, and performance was clearly a priority for AlecsDeveloper. The map relies on a data caching system to keep rendering smooth, and its interface is light enough that weaker devices handle it without dropping frames. All three dimensions are supported, so the minimap stays useful in the Nether and the End as well as the Overworld.
