Dynamic Lightning Mod

Dynamic Lightning makes glowing items actually illuminate the world around you. Hold a torch, a lantern, or any other light-emitting item and real light blocks appear dynamically in your surroundings. Drop the item or switch slots and the light disappears immediately. No resource pack required.

What Emits Light

• Any glowing item held in the main hand or offhand


• Sea Pickles, which emit light even when you're underwater


• Mobs on fire, Blazes, Magma Cubes, and Glow Squids


• Glowing items left on the ground

The addon works in multiplayer and requires Beta APIs to be enabled in your world settings. It's a small toggle in the world creation screen but it's required for the addon to function, so make sure it's on before loading in.
