Chornobyl Survival RPG Mod

Chornobyl Survival RPG is an add-on for Minecraft Bedrock that transforms vanilla survival into a tense, atmospheric experience set in a nuclear exclusion zone. The mod is built around a dynamic radiation system, a profession-based economy, and randomized global events that constantly shift the conditions of survival. It's a serious overhaul that rewards planning and careful resource management.

Radiation System

Radiation is the core mechanic and it's constantly active. The background level reaches up to 1000 mSv and changes based on your current biome, dimension, equipped armor and active weather events. Staying in a safe area gradually reduces contamination. The effects escalate in stages: nausea kicks in at 250 mSv, poisoning follows at 450 mSv, and extreme exhaustion sets in at 700 mSv. To reduce contamination you can use milk (-40 mSv), honey (-25 mSv), or craftable Anti-Rad Pills (-65 mSv). After taking any remedy, the chat displays a precise health status update.

Professions

At the start you choose one of three professions, each with its own way of earning points. Switching is only allowed once every 20 in-game days, so the choice matters:

• Stalker: earns points by mining rare resources and blocks


• Scientist: earns points through cartographic items like maps, compasses, paper and books


• Liquidator: earns rewards for surviving in extreme conditions, including lava exposure

To prevent farming, earnings are capped at 500 points per 5 in-game days.

Global Zone Events

The world has 15 unique events that trigger randomly and last anywhere from 1 to 20 in-game days. Each event is announced in chat and alters the radiation background significantly. The full list includes Radioactive Rain, Emission, Mutant Migration, Dust Storm, Toxic Fog, Anomalous Thunderstorm, Reactor Rumble, Underground Leak, Predator Night, Blackout, Acid Dew, Ash Fall, Ion Pulse, Supply Plane Crash and Calm Aftershock.

PDA and Shop

The PDA is your main interface tool. It shows your current radiation level, profession, point balance, active events, and a brief historical context section about the Chornobyl tragedy. The built-in shop lets you spend earned points on survival items including field rations, golden carrots, anti-rad remedies, a leather protection kit and a gold filter mask set.

Crafting

The PDA is crafted from an iron ingot, redstone dust, paper, compass and glass. Anti-Rad Pills require paper, a honey bottle and a ghast tear, and yield 2 pills per craft. Both recipes use the standard crafting table with no experimental features required.

Chornobyl Survival RPG is a well-designed and thematically consistent overhaul that brings a level of tension and systemic depth to Bedrock survival that vanilla simply doesn't offer. The combination of dynamic radiation, profession progression and unpredictable events makes each playthrough feel genuinely different.
