Medieval Lords Venture is a town big enough to get lost in, built in a medieval style with fantasy elements layered on top. Red-roofed houses crowd together across a stretch of coastline, climbing up toward a rocky peak at the back of the settlement, with farmland and tree cover filling the gaps between districts. Balloons drift above the rooftops and tall ships with crimson sails sit out on the water, which tells you quickly that this is not a strictly historical build.
What separates this from a facade town is that the interiors were finished too. Each house is furnished and ready to live in, so you can pick one as a base without having to hollow it out and decorate it yourself first. With that many buildings available, a group arriving together can claim a street apiece rather than sharing a single hall.
The town does not stop at the shoreline. Parts of the map sit underwater, left open rather than filled in, which gives you somewhere to build out if you want to extend the settlement yourself. Decorated zones and set pieces are scattered through the rest of the build to break up the housing, and the shoreline carries enough detail that the edges of the map still feel like part of the same place.
It works either as somewhere to wander on your own or as the backdrop for a longer run with friends, and the scale is the thing that carries it. Take the time to walk the whole place before settling anywhere, because the district you pick first is rarely the best one.
